RELEASED GAMES

Here's what you can play now from Pumpkin Snake Games!

seaglass is a short rmxp game about love and gestures of affection, focused on item collection.

The player controls Eliot, a young adult who has never met their closest friend, Loren, in person before. The two have conversed exclusively through messages in bottles tossed back and forth at sea. After seven years, Loren is coming to visit Eliot, and they want to commemorate the occasion with a special and suitable gift.

They decide on a seaglass necklace, and it's up to the player to obtain it!

seaglass is a free game, with roughly half an hour to an hour of play time. There is no combat, and the gameplay is instead focused on sidequests and item collection.

away in the woods is a short, combat-less RPG focused on exploration and sidequests. It's currently my primary game dev focus, and is similar in scale and scope to seaglass. It's inspired by the Hermit Ending from Aveyond 1: Rhen's Quest, but is not a fan game. More information will be coming soon!

In Here Be Dragons, take on the role of Ezri, a cartographer tasked with cataloging the location of alchemy ingredients across the continent. They are assisted by Alidade, a local infirmary apprentice. Guide the duo on their journey from a stormy forest town to a bright and bustling metropolis, crossing through forests, mountains, and more to obtain everything from slime to precious jewels. Help them along their quest as they become friends... and maybe even local heroes!

For about a year, Here Be Dragons was my primary creative project, but I stepped back from game dev for a while and am just now easing back into it. I don't have a projected deadline yet, and it's on the backburner while I prioritize some smaller projects, but it's coming.

My name is Ellie Darwin - or whatever other name you may know me by, but when it comes to making roleplaying games, it's Ellie Darwin (she/her, they/them).

I'm a hobbyist game designer whose been working with RPG Maker XP for over a decade between school work, other creative projects, and playing other people's video games. Originally I started off with grand aspirations of epic RPGs about saving the world, but my sights have settled and narrowed. Now I like making smaller scale, atmospheric games about characters that might be NPCs in other games. It turns out they're a lot easier to finish, too!

I owe my love of RPG Maker and video games in general to the Aveyond series by Amaranth Games, which I cannot recommend enough to fellow RPG maker fans. These games are by far my biggest inspiration, so if you like my work, you should check them out!

The pumpkin snake mentioned in my username is a reference to my corn snake, Kabocha, named for her coloration, not her species. She sadly passed in 2021, but remains very dear to me. I'm putting her and some other family pets into my games, so keep your eyes peeled.
